Thanks to those who were able to come last night. After much discussion, we all decided that the initial session this Sunday Sept. 12 from 2-5 pm, should be parents only. No students will be allowed unless they are with a parent who will supervise them while the framework is being built. There will be alot of power tools in use including table saws, nail guns and other potential dangers. Also, until the rocket frame is built there won't be alot for the kids to do. Be assured that there will be alot for them to do after the rocket frame is built!
So if you are a weekend builder, carpenter or a do-it-yourselfer kind of person, please come and assist this weekend. Bring your power tools, gloves and safety glasses and leave the kids at home (just this once).
We also went to Home Depot and purchased most of the big ticket items on the Supply List as they were needed this Sunday. Please hold off on Gift cards for now until we see what more we may need. Any cash donations will be gratefully accepted as we are already pushing the budget limits.
