I LOVE A PARADE!

Saturday, October 9th
9 am
!!!Rain or Shine!!!

We need to be lined up on Saturday by 9:00 am at the First Baptist Church on Mimosa Blvd. Please find me in the morning to check in. I will have the list with me and will be giving nametags to those on the float. All 5th graders (whether they were able to help build or not) are welcome to participate by walking with the float in the parade.

The 5th graders decided in the work sessions that any who participate in the parade are required to wear a blue or yellow tie-dyed Mountain Park shirt, a blue, yellow or white plain shirt (no graphics), jeans or jean shorts and sneakers (no sandals or flip flops). It was also decided to color their hair - 1/2 blue and 1/2 yellow and to use blue and/or yellow face paint. There is no set way to do either hair or face so feel free to improvise. (See Jacqueline's picture as an example). The hair spray and the face paint are available at any Halloween store as well as at Party City, Target and Walmart. We want to look unified in Mountain Park colors as MPE aliens from Roswell, GA (not Nevada).

Again, I can’t say thank you enough to the all the volunteers, parents and 5th graders. The float is going to be awesome!

If you have any questions, let me know.
